Emily Gatlin Has a Nose for News and Features.

This week Emily Gatlin takes over the helm of HottyToddy.com as editor.

“I am excited to be a part of the rapidly expanding reach of www.hottytoddy.com. Growth of the web site, Facebook pages and the new magazine, Experience Oxford, has been fantastic. Last month, we had 28,000 readers in Lafayette County alone,” Ms. Gatlin said.

“We have an average of 220,000 page reads a month on the web and 187,000 a week on Facebook and that has developed in less than a year. The staff has done a great job developing these products that have enriched the Oxford and Ole Miss community, “ Gatlin added.

An Ole Miss alum, Ms. Gatlin is a regular contributor to web sites reaching millions of readers, including BookRiot.com and FoodRiot.com, and her articles have been featured in The Huffington Post and The Paris Review. She has also been a contributor to HottyToddy.com.

She has appeared as a panelist in the Overby Center series at Ole Miss and has been a guest on Supertalk Mississippi, ATS Live and Clearstory Radio.

“The Internet offers so many unique opportunities. One of my goals is to expand our writers to include citizen writers as well as journalists who have a passion about any subject. We want to engage our readers more and through diversity of content, expand our base,” Gatlin said.
