Important Fan Information For Meet The Rebels Day

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss fans should be mindful of the following information as they make their plans for Saturday’s festivities for “Meet The Rebels Day” Sponsored By Community Trust Bank and Presented by the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation.

Doors will open at 11:30 a.m., with two entrances available. Fans may park in the Coliseum lot and enter through the garage door at the south end of the IPF, or for those interested in seeing some of the recent renovations to the facility, fans can park in the West lot of the Stadium, enter through Gate 31 and walk through the team’s gameday tunnel into the complex. ADA access is through the south entrance of the IPF.

The Rebel football, soccer, volleyball, rifle and spirit teams will be greeting fans and signing autographs, and fans are limited to two autograph items per individual. To help quicken autograph lines, fans are not permitted to take photos with the football coaches and players, and throwing footballs in the IPF will be strictly prohibited.

New team posters will be handed out, and official football team jerseys ($60), media guides ($15), spirit squad calendars ($10) and other merchandise will be on sale. Chick-fil-A will be providing concessions, and a kids zone will be set up with inflatables and other games.

Season ticket holders in attendance or fans who purchase them Saturday may pick up two free tickets to a non-conference game of their choice by visiting the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation or ticket office tables. Foundation staff will also be available to answer questions and provide information about membership opportunities.

Also on hand will be representatives from Community Trust Bank to interact with fans and promote their Community Hero of the Week program for this football season.

Fans in attendance Saturday will catch a sneak peek of the new season of the award-winning RebelVision program, “The Season: Ole Miss Football.”

SuperTalk Mississippi, which will air locally on 93.7 and 105.5 FM, will broadcast live from the stage beginning at noon with an on-air team led by the “Voice of the Rebels” David Kellum. Several Ole Miss coaches and administrators will be interviewed, including Athletics Director Ross Bjork.

“Meet The Rebels Day” concludes at 2:30 p.m., and beginning at 3 p.m., the volleyball team will be hosting the Red & Blue Scrimmage at the Gillom Sports Center.

Fans tweeting about their “Meet The Rebels Day” experience should use the hashtag #MTR13.

Unlike previous years, football practice will be closed to fans on “Meet The Rebels Day.” Ole Miss is supporting area high schools by hosting a jamboree in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium this weekend, and with construction limiting access, the practice areas are unable to safely host the expected MTR crowd on the sidelines. Ole Miss is in the midst of a $14 million renovation and expansion of its football facilities, which is being completed in phases with conclusion by early 2014.
